Genshin Impact Luna VIII Version will be released in early July

Luna VIII’s update Genshin Impact titled “Summer Sun, Go Home? Fontinalia!” will be released on July 1.

In this update, players will meet Sandrone again, a character who unexpectedly returned after dying in the fierce battle at Nod-Krai. At the same time, beyond the skies of Teyvat, Suong Nguyet officially opens permanently as a new exploration area, inviting players to walk through the vast and majestic terrain of this land.

Sandrone, Fatui’s Seventh Executor, makes a surprise return in this version as a 5-star playable character. After a tense first meeting, players witnessed her sacrifice herself in a fierce battle with Dottore, contributing to Columbina and the Traveler’s victory. Now she’s back, and the truth behind her resurrection is about to be revealed.

In the first half of the patch, Sandrone will appear for the first time in the character Prayer Event, along with the return of Citlali. The second half will welcome the return of Columbina and Raiden Shogun.

Players can finally board a spaceship to cross the sky of Teyvat, set foot on the moon, and explore this vast and completely new land. On the moon, there are countless majestic landscapes that have never appeared on Teyvat, including the Lunar Sea radiating mysterious light but filled with danger, and a space station floating in space.

In addition, many massive ancient relics are also waiting for players to explore, revealing more mysteries related to the ancient Dragon clan. There is a mysterious ancient power that spreads across the surface of the moon, players can take advantage of this power to move through different terrains and control the gravity environment here. Besides, to enhance the exploration experience, the moon map and Teyvat are both supplemented with a layered display feature, allowing to see the floor the player is on in real time.

The Fontinalia Film Festival officially departed on the Wingalet ship of Fontaine, Charlotte, Citlali and many familiar faces gathered to celebrate the summer festival on the water. Sandrone will also board the companion ship, and Columbina will follow the film crew here to film.

The plot of this event will become open content throughout. Players can help operate the aquarium on the ship to attract visitors to join the festival.
