[ĐÁNH GIÁ XE] Lexus LM 2026: Redefining the standard of presidential transportation with first-class mobility
In the world of successful businessmen, the image of a luxury sedan with a classic three-compartment form from Germany is inherently the standard of elegance.
However, a quiet but drastic change is taking place in Japan, where the Lexus LM is completely redefining the concept of high-end shuttle vehicles.
No longer confined to the limited space of a sedan, Lexus has turned this MPV model into a premium mobile “Suite”, where absolute privacy and personalized experience are top priorities, far exceeding the usual standards of traditional luxury cars.
Exquisite exterior and minimalist design language
Despite the typical boxy design of the MPV line, the Lexus LM still demonstrates luxury through meticulously refined details. The famous Spindle Grille is designed in a color-shifting form to create a modern visual effect.
The car has Sonic Titanium paint color that brings a smooth and shiny feeling. The lines running along the body of the car combined with the 19-inch multi-spoke wheels help create balance and reduce the heaviness of a large car. This car line offers two configuration options: 6 seats and 4 seats, in which the 4 seat version is the center of luxury.
Smooth operation and rear passenger priority mode
The Lexus LM500h is equipped with a Hybrid powertrain with a 2.4L turbocharged engine, 4 cylinders in line, combined with two electric motors on both axles and a 288V nickel-metal hydride battery. This system produces a total capacity of 366 horsepower, transmitted through a 6-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive system. Even though the vehicle weight is more than 2.4 tons, the instant torque from the electric motor still helps the vehicle accelerate smoothly.
Notably, besides the usual driving modes, LM also has a “Rear Comfort” mode. This mode will adjust the suspension and braking force to minimize vibration, ensuring absolute silence for the rear passenger. The adaptive suspension with MacPherson strut front and double wishbones at the rear also contribute to stable body control when cornering.
The “Tazuna” cockpit and the spirit of Omotenashi hospitality
The driver’s area is designed according to the “Tazuna” philosophy (inspired by controlling horses with reins), putting all function keys within reach of the driver. Omotenashi spirit – dedication to customers is shown by equipping two sliding door controllers on both the center console and the ceiling, helping the driver serve passengers as quickly as possible.
Despite prioritizing the rear seats, the driver still has an automatic heated wood-trimmed steering wheel, ventilated seats and an independent Mark Levinson sound system, allowing separate music enjoyment without affecting the rear space.
First class business cabin on the 4-seat version
The most valuable point of the Lexus LM lies in the sealed partition between the driver’s compartment and the passenger compartment. This partition integrates a 48-inch wide screen and a glass window that can be dimmed at the touch of a button, creating a completely private work or rest space.
Unlike European cars that often overuse interior lights or star ceilings, the LM’s interior is minimalist and static. Storage compartments, folding desks, wireless charging ports and refrigerators are all cleverly hidden behind high-end panels. The two rear seats have the ability to recline completely flat, fully integrated with massage features, heated armrests and footrests, controlled via two smart handheld devices located on the center pedestal.
Practicality in storage space and accompanying equipment
Although the passenger compartment takes up most of the space, the Lexus LM still maintains a trunk capacity of about 750 liters, enough to accommodate two large suitcases. The rear trunk door is intelligently designed with the open/close button located on both sides of the car instead of the center position, helping users operate more safely and conveniently.
In addition, the car is also equipped with delicate details such as two umbrellas made from wood and carbon fiber, and the Panasonic Nanoe-X air filtration system to help eliminate allergens.
In the Japanese market, this model has a starting price of about 20.3 million Yen (3.34 billion VND). This is considered an optimal choice when buyers do not need to spend too much on expensive option packages often found on other luxury cars.
Lexus LM is the typical representative of the concept of “quiet luxury” – unobtrusive on the outside but bringing the most classy enjoyment value on the inside.
