Bidding for 100 Q1 coser “overflowing”, new RPG blockbuster makes you nervous… lose the chain
The tactical blockbuster Shinkai Impact: Origin continuously demonstrates its media power and huge investment.
A quality game will often have many ways to express itself: from graphics, gameplay, community heat to even promotional campaigns. And Shinkai Impact: Origin is the latest example of that.
Ahead of its release, this tactical role-playing blockbuster is causing the community to “explode” with a series of monumental media activities, most notably a huge-scale cosplay campaign, gathering more than 100 top-name cosers of the Chinese cosplay industry.
From the “transformation goddess” Syber to many other top cosplayers, everyone participated to recreate the famous beauties of Shinkai Impact: Origin. The detail and char standard are like a 1:1 rep, straight out of the game.
Queen Yue is seductive, Ngao Binh is cold, Eira with both her “default fashion” and extremely sexy “secretary version”, Black Widow, Cuong Thi… all are beautifully cosplayed. Among them, many Q1 and Q3 screens are borderless, making you even more excited to wait for the game.
Not just a few single photos, the campaign is organized as a multinational media event, with hundreds of images, videos, behind-the-scenes clips… A series of major platforms in Mainland such as Bilibili, Weibo, Xiaohongshu, Douyin… are filled with content about the game for weeks. The anime fan community compares that “wherever you go, you see Shinkai beauties”, while RPG forums call this “the largest-scale cosplay campaign in 2025”.
It is important to know that the game developer has invited two international designers who have cooperated with high-end fashion brands to take on the role of character design and costumes in the game. Therefore, the costumes of the characters – in games in general and when adapted into cosplay in particular – are not only “fan-service”, but also have artistic depth and unique identity.
It can be seen that Shinkai Impact not only attracts thanks to its beautiful gameplay and cast of characters, but also makes its mark by creating images with depth and unique style. Each character has a personality, a story and a carefully crafted design style – from costumes, effects to expressions. It is this meticulousness that makes the cosplay campaign special, when viewers can easily recognize that the attraction comes from the original material of the game, not just from the popularity of the cosplayers.
Although this is clearly a promotional campaign for the international version and the Mainland market, it also reflects the global vision and huge level of investment that the product is pursuing.
Even in the Korean version, the game has made a charming short film: I Became the Main Character in a Game, with a fascinating story about a guy who has failed in every aspect, suddenly falls into the game world and has a chance to reverse his fate with 5 beautiful girlfriends.
The Vietnamese version, expected to be released in the near future, will have its own branding plan, adjusted to suit the tastes of domestic gamers. However, with the scale and “expenditure” that Ujoy Games has shown, Vietnamese gamers can fully expect an equally spectacular and creative launch campaign.
And of course, behind that flashy shell is still a product with real depth. Shinkai Impact: Origin was developed for more than three years, bringing together a team of more than 600 employees, including 6 mathematics PhDs participating in balancing the combat system. The game brings a multi-layered combat mechanism, a complex UR – Awakening system, and a cast of characters meticulously invested in effects, animations, and multi-layered skill effects.
